A stencil is a single-layer object, and that constraint changes everything about the design. Fills have to be connected, islands have to be held by bridges, and every gap has to be wide enough to actually cut. Most artwork that looks right on screen fails the moment someone puts a scalpel to it. We build stencils that are designed for the knife from the start.
What we deliver
- Single-layer stencil artwork as clean, closed vector paths
- Bridged islands and counters so nothing falls out
- Cut gaps sized for the material and blade you are using
- Registration marks and a bleed-safe bounding box
- Cut-list notes so your operator knows what to produce
How we design for production
Two things kill stencils. First, hairline bridges that snap during weeding. Second, counters narrower than the blade can navigate, which means the piece cannot be cut without tearing. We set minimum bridge and gap widths as part of the design rather than asking you to fix them later, and we can work to your material and blade size if you tell us what you are using.
Applications we design for
Spray-paint stencils, signage templates, screen printing, sand blasting masks, cake and food stencils, wall murals, window decals and one-off production templates. If it is cut from a single sheet, we can usually design it.
Existing artwork to stencil
If you have a logo you want as a stencil, send it and we will tell you what needs to change. Logos with thin strokes, small counters and enclosed spaces almost always need a dedicated stencil version rather than a straight trace, and we will show you what we would adjust before quoting.
