An icon has to read at 16 pixels and still hold up blown up to a metre. That is a narrow brief, and it is why generic stock icons rarely survive contact with a real product. We design icon sets as vector artwork, built on a consistent grid so a set of forty icons looks like one system rather than forty drawings.
What we deliver
- A master vector icon set in SVG, AI, EPS and PDF
- PNG exports at every size you need, plus @1x, @2x and @3x for apps
- Pixel-hinted small sizes where the design allows it
- Consistent grid, stroke weight and corner radius across the whole set
- A single-colour variant of each icon for stamps, embroidery and vinyl
Grids and optical alignment
We draw on a defined grid and optically align each icon inside it. Icons that are technically centred often look off, so we correct for the visual weight rather than the bounding box. Stroke weight is checked at the smallest size you will use, because a 1.5px hairline disappears on a low-density screen and blocks up on a laser cutter.
Where icon design gets used
App and interface iconography, SaaS dashboards, product feature icons, brand glyph systems, favicons and social avatars, signage and wayfinding, embroidery and patches, and single-colour vinyl sets. If you are a printing shop or a laser cutter, we can supply the artwork already split into the single-colour closed contours your machine needs.
Sets, singles and extensions
Most clients start with a set and add to it over time. We keep the master files organised so a later addition matches the original set exactly. If you already have icons that need bringing onto a consistent grid, we can rebuild them as clean vector artwork rather than drawing from scratch.
What affects the quote
The number of icons, how geometric or illustrative the style is, whether the set needs a single-colour variant, and how many export sizes are included. Send your existing brand colours and one or two references, and we will tell you what is realistic inside your print or pixel budget.
