Most sketches are better ideas than artwork. The concept is usually right while the execution is rough, and the value is in rescuing the idea rather than in tracing the pencil marks. We treat a hand sketch as a brief: we read what you were going for, then draw it properly.
How we work from a sketch
- Send a photo or scan of the sketch, ideally as straight-on and as high resolution as you can manage.
- We interpret it and come back with any ambiguities flagged before starting.
- The design is redrawn with consistent line weight, corrected proportion and balanced spacing.
- You receive the finished vector artwork plus a preview.
What we correct
Uneven line weight, inconsistent joins, accidental gaps, proportion drift, and elements that collide because they were drawn quickly. We also resolve the things a sketch is allowed to leave ambiguous, like whether a shape is meant to be open or closed.
Styles
Logo marks, character and mascot sketches, spot illustration, icon sets, badge and emblem sketches, and technical or diagrammatic drawing. If the sketch is a rough logo, start with logo design instead so the result is designed rather than only cleaned up.
What to send
A flat, well-lit photo taken straight on works better than a photograph of a page. Include any notes on colour, scale and intended use. If parts of the sketch are ambiguous, mark them, because guessing usually costs a revision round.
