A seamless pattern is a technical problem before it is a design problem. The repeat has to tile in both directions with no visible seam, the motif has to sit correctly at the tile edges, and the repeat unit has to be large enough to avoid an obvious grid when the design is repeated across a large surface.
What we produce
- True seamless repeats, verified by tiling rather than by eye
- Half-drop, brick, mirror and straight repeats
- Vector artwork plus high-resolution tiled raster exports at your print size
- Colourways from a single master file
- Repeat specifications for your printer or converter
Choosing a repeat size
Repeat size is the decision that matters most, and it depends entirely on the final application. A motif that reads well at 200mm becomes a dense blur at 40mm. Tell us the finished product dimensions and how it will be manufactured, and we will size the repeat to suit rather than defaulting to a convenient square.
Applications
Fabric and apparel prints, wallpaper and wrapping paper, packaging and gift wrap, homeware and textiles, stationery, and surface design for product. We can also build a pattern to match an existing brand mark or illustration.
Production files
You get the vector master plus raster tiles exported at the resolution your printer specifies, with the repeat dimensions noted clearly. If your supplier needs a specific tile size or a specific colour profile, we export to suit.
